Graphics & Video Specialist

Robert Robinson (he/him) is a Graphics & Video Specialist at Urban3 applying a diverse skillset to the art of communicating complexity to non-experts. He specializes in helping people to understand how their human habitat operates behind the curtain, particularly through 2D and 3D animation. Robert’s work at Urban3 aims to contribute to business development through brand recognition and awareness, to educate the general public about the insights Urban3 has developed through its work in cities around the world, and to advocate for specific causes related to land use, transportation, and municipal economics.

Before joining Urban3, Robert spent eight years providing freelance services to a variety of businesses, including three years dedicated to software application design and development. He got his start in the realm of Urbanism by creating independent content about land use and transportation in Asheville, North Carolina.

Robert’s passion for urban planning began with a curiosity about how places change over time, particularly due to the impacts of highway expansion. This led to a deep interest in studying the underlying causes of the American suburban experiment and its consequences. Robert is now based in Brooklyn, New York, where he has the privilege of riding the elevated Subway line just outside his doorstep! He spends his free time producing electronic music and learning about the magic of cities.
